If you go down to the woods today .......
.... you could find out what bushcraft, mindfulness and some great wild food all have in common.
The woods were the stunning setting for Gary from Jack Raven Bushcraft and I to meet with Angela Brier-Stephenson from the Who Cares Wins radio show. Over a cuppa - made bushcraft-style as you can see from the photo - we were able to tell her listeners about some exciting new nature-based mindfulness retreats taking place this summer.
If you missed the show, you can listen to the interview here, which reveals how the retreats integrate elements of bushcraft and wild food foraging - and you get to eat the cooked results, mmm delicious! - with different types of mindfulness meditation.
Our retreats are not only enjoyable and informative, they also give you the space to pause, breathe and re-connect back to nature .... and back to yourself.
““Just watch this moment, without trying to change it at all. What is happening? What do you feel? What do you see? What do you hear?””
Nature-based mindfulness enables you to 'watch this moment' - using all of your senses to explore what's around you to become deeply aware, ‘present’ and fully appreciate what’s here, to promote a profound sense of balance, peace and harmony.
